At Bistro SOJO, dining is an experience more than just a meal. SOJO represents a lifelong passion for creating exceptional food and warm, memorable moments. Our name, SOJO is a blend of our children’s names: Sophia and Jonathan symbolizing the personal care infused into every dish we serve.

Founder & Chef

Felix Addison

Felix Addison, the culinary force behind Bistro Sojo, brings nearly two decades of food service experience to the heart of Old Town Winchester. His journey began in the fine dining scene of Washington, D.C., where he refined his skills as a waiter and food and beverage manager, cultivating an appreciation for impeccable service and high-quality ingredients.

Felix, along with his wife Martha, transitioned from fine dining to entrepreneurship by launching two popular Winchester-area food trucks: Roaming Bistro, specializing in international street food, and 3FiresOven, a mobile, authentic wood-fired Neapolitan pizza operation.

Now operating Bistro Sojo, Felix merges his expertise in upscale service with his passion for mobile, flavorful cooking, offering a "Mediterranean to the Tropics" dining experience. The restaurant showcases a refined, Blue Zone-inspired menu that emphasizes wellness, fresh ingredients, and the same welcoming, hands-on passion he cultivated on the road.

Founder & Chef

Martha Addison

Martha Addison's culinary journey began with a simple goal: creating restaurant-quality meals at home for her son, who faced numerous food allergies and sensitivities. Raised in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Martha explored several career paths before ultimately following her lifelong passion for food and hospitality.

As the owner and culinary leader of Bistro Sojo, Martha is committed to upholding the restaurant's dedication to excellence, creativity, and collaboration. She provides overall leadership, develops seasonal menus, guides the kitchen team, and works closely with local vendors to source the highest-quality ingredients.

Martha's vision for Bistro Sojo is to create an experience that feels both familiar and entirely new. By combining Southern Mediterranean and West African influences with bold flavors, unexpected pairings, and warm hospitality, she hopes to inspire curiosity, spark conversation, and create memorable dining experiences. Above all, Martha wants every guest to feel welcomed, valued, and glad they came.
